Entering Vehicle Condition Using ECA

Extended Condition Adjustments (ECA) allows you to make specific condition adjustments to certain categories of the vehicle. The CCC Valuescope User ID Profile identifies the ECA category profile (e.g., mechanical, paint, tires, etc.) and the ECA rating profile (e.g., Major Wear, Minor Wear, Average, Dealer Ready, etc.) that will display.

The Condition, either Overall Condition Rating or Extended Condition Adjustments (ECA) is one of the mandatory fields for completing a CCC Valuescope Valuation Request.

When you select the ECA rating from the Overall Condition droplist, the selected ECA rating will be inserted into all the available categories, except for those categories with manually entered ratings, and those marked new/rebuilt.

Note: You will be able to access this button ONLY if you are using a valid CCC Valuescope User ID for this workfile. To see the ID you are using, select the Valuation tab in the Total Loss screen and review the Name/User ID field.

When you enter information into Refurbishment categories with corresponding ECA categories, those ECA categories will display New/Rebuilt.

However, if you enter New/Rebuilt into an ECA category, you must manually enter all information into the corresponding Refurbishment category. If the Refurbishment information is missing, you cannot submit a CCC Valuescope Valuation Request.

You can enter one note for each ECA category.

To enter vehicle condition using ECA

  1. Open or create a workfile.
  2. Select the Total Loss Tab.
  3. Select the Condition button.
  4. Enter the ECA information.
